Luz Diaz is a loan processor with 1st Portfolio. Luz is responsible for reviewing all of the documentation sent over by the borrowers while trying to paint a picture for the underwriter. Luz has been in the mortgage business for 12 years.

Joseph Ahr handles many of the details involved with preparing our clients’ files for underwriting. He also assists with satisfying underwriting conditions and getting the files into our closing department. Just a few of the tasks Joe is responsible for include obtaining needed documentation from clients, appraisers, title companies, realtors, and CPAs, requesting questionnaires from condominium or homeowners’ associations, submitting loans through our automated underwriting systems and insuring compliance. Joe has a strong sense of urgency and excellent attention to detail.

Anthony Carroll is involved with our clients’ loans from application to closing. He has excellent interpersonal skills and is highly organized. Carole Cassidy is the Underwriting Manager at 1st Portfolio Lending Corporation. Carole has over 20 years experience in the mortgage industry with extensive experience in analyzing credit, income packages and appraisals. Carole has excellent underwriting, processing, sales, training and leadership abilities. She is an effective problem solver with strong interpersonal skills.

Tammy Hall is the Closing Manager at 1st Portfolio Lending Corporation. Tammy joined 1st Portfolio Lending in May 2011, and comes to us with over thirteen years’ experience in the mortgage industry. Responsible for coordinating all the steps of the loan closing; Tammy finalizes the calculation of final figures, creates and reviews final documents for accuracy and compliance with state and federal guidelines, and works with the settlement company to ensure a timely and smooth closing process for our clients.

Cindy Jones is the Shipper/Quality Assurance Officer at 1st Portfolio Lending. Cindy is responsible for shipping Original Notes and files to investors, checking files for compliance, doing quarterly QC reports, tracking and sending out Final Docs. She also serves as Office Manager where she answers the phone, greets and guides clients, oversees and orders supplies and business cards, sets up for new employees, and monitors office machines. Prior to joining 1st Portfolio Lending Cindy worked in Loan Processing and Executive Assistant at several companies including Mortgage Investment Corp., Bank of America and Wells Fargo. Notable is her 15 years as Loan Processor and Executive Assistant for Access National Mortgage.

Leah Palmer is the Production Assistant to Glenn Harshman, Frank Perna and Kevin Dunn at 1st Portfolio Lending. Leah is responsible for the assisting borrower’s from loan application to closing. Prior to 1st Portfolio Lending, Leah was the assistant to one of the top Washington Metro area Loan Officer’s for 8 years. She lives in Vienna, Virginia with her son Timothy.

Jaymie Phares is the Executive Assistant to both Barbara Evans, VP and Operations Manager, and Eve Bosek, Senior Mortgage Consultant, at 1st Portfolio Lending. Prior to joining 1st Portfolio Lending, Jaymie received her BA in Government and International Politics from George Mason University with honors. Jaymie also worked as wine engineer at Evo Bistro and successfully completed three internships with the federal government.

Michelle Pellegrino is a production assistant who joined us in August 2011, bringing with her over 10 years of mortgage experience. Before joining us here at 1st Portfolio Lending Michelle was with SunTrust Mortgage as a production assistant to one of their top 10 producers. Here at 1st Portfolio she works closely with Mike Eastman and Kevin Dunn. Michelle’s family is originally from western Pennsylvania but she grew up in Virginia and graduated from Thomas Edison High School in Alexandria. Of course she remains a diehard Steelers fan! Michelle enjoys working with the team here at 1st Portfolio and helping customers achieve their goal of homeownership.

Kuntri Yonkman is a native of Thailand and has been in a mortgage business for over 20 years. Before joining 1st Portfolio Lending she was with First Guaranty Mortgage for over 10 years as a Loan Processor. She is knowledgeable in processing all types of loans, and is a caring, and hard working employee.
